can we assume all the wild foraging items in the itemdex/the things our characters get sent on missions for are like, fit for human consumption or is it one of those 'wild animals can eat it but You Should Not Really'

also, since some of the descriptions mention specific effects and such would those have any effect on humans at all? or is it just a pokemon-only thing
