AND VICTORY ROAD'S MOST ELIGIBLE PARTNER IS....
The camera shows a shot of Riegfriend, Soy, and Arceus sitting in the shade on a wicker-woven bench along the beach. Arceus is loafing like a cat, staring out at the waves crashing on the shore. The three dogs, Fidough, Maschiff, and Greavard, are sitting in front of them in the sand, their tails wagging aggressively. They just seem happy to be here.
A shockingly pink envelope is handed to Riegfried and Soy by an assistant off-camera. Soy takes it in hand, then waggles his eyebrows at the camera.
“Oh my, it seems like we have a winner! Let’s take a look inside and see–which one of these fabulous pups will be the one? Drumroll, please….”
A canned drumroll plays over unseen speakers as Soy flips open the envelope. He hands a red slip of paper over to Riegfried.
After waiting for a sufficiently dramatic amount of time, he smirks, and says….
“Fidough has won the vote! Congratulations!”
A shower of pink and red confetti bursts forth. Fidough leaps up onto its feet, yapping excitedly and jumping in the air. But even as it celebrates, the other two dogs lower their heads and whine, their tails drooping. Arceus turns its head to stare down at them.
“Oh, Riegfried…” says Soy, leaning down to pat the Maschiff. “They’re upset they didn’t win. Can’t we do something?”
“Sorry–all they can do is wait their turn. That’s the rules of the competition!”
The Greavard plants its head on top of Riegfried’s shoe, sniffling and whining. Riegfried recoils slightly, then pauses. Arceus leans down closer to Riegfried, as if breathing down his neck. After a few more moments, he sighs.
“Oh, doggone it…they’re just too cute!”
And with a single flourish, he rips up the result card and tosses the scraps on the floor.
“It is with our great pleasure to announce that all of these pups will be added to the game immediately! Go out–find your perfect partner, and cherish them with all your heart!”
A chorus of joyful yaps and woofs can be heard as the camera pans away, and a booming voice echoes in your mind….

As of today, Fidough, Maschiff, and Greavard have been added to the starter and Pokémon availability pages! Additionally, Maschiff has been added as an option as a secondary Rocket starter!
Additionally, as a reminder, Pokémon that have been given new evolutions in Paldea, such as Dundunsparse, Farigiraf, and Kingambit, are allowed to evolve, if you so desire! For Kingambit, you must obtain a Leader’s Crest from Fuschia City, as detailed in our Special Evolutions page.
