Turn Back Time + Prom 2025 Info

We've got a double serving of event info for folks today. Please continue reading to hear about both Turn Back Time and the Prom at the end of April!
So. What fresh nonsense is happening this month?
Well... Celebi's early spring frolicking went and caught the attention of some Rockets thirsty for a promotion. Two weeks into April, they sprung a hastily formulated trap - and nearly did capture Celebi! The poor little forest deity Pokemon had to use its time travel abilities very abruptly, and with much more intensity than usual, to escape...
And it seems to have dragged characters along for the ride. Whoops! Welcome toJurassic Parkprehistoric Johto!
(Incidentally, any Rocket players in game may handwave that they were involved, if they so choose.)
Prehistoric Johto?
That's right. You're now in the prehistoric jungle!
Celebi's panicked time travel has dragged in all the participating Rockets, some poor hapless normal NPCs that were just in the same general area... and every single trainer who originated in another world, no matter where they were! (As well as the Pokemon teams everyone had on hand.)
Apparently something about being from another world makes you particularly susceptible. Who knew?
Fortunately, no matter where they were, everyone's been dumped in roughly the same area - within a few kilometers of each other. This is especially important as... well, nobody's Gears will be working for the duration. There's no network to communicate through! You can still do stuff like take photos and videos, but even that will only work until you run out of charge (Unless you have a well-trained Electric Pokemon?).
The terrain and climate of the Johto region will be more or less consistent with what characters already know from their own time, but rivers and streams might be in slightly different places, and the coast certainly doesn't look like it used to! (And let's not even get started on the vegetation.)
Until Celebi notices what its done and fixes it, you might want to team up and help each other survive! There's no convenient grocery stores or inns around, after all, and some of the Pokemon out there are dangerous...
What if I want to opt out / what if I have something time-sensitive going on in the present time?
There's no staying behind in Johto or Kanto for this one... but if you'd truly like to opt out, your character can have gotten stuck in time and never made it to prehistoric Johto. They can be released right before Prom, or after all the time nonsense is over, with no sense of time having passed. Surprise, you just got warped directly to April 30th!
Anything time-sensitive that requires your character's presence - from small things, like a cake in the oven, to larger ones, like an Aurora League Gym - can optionally be trapped in an impenetrable time bubble while characters are gone. Or not! It's up to you. If something is bubbled, the bubble will pop once characters return to the present, and the contents will be in the exact state they were left.
And if you had an appointment or job obligations... well, people will probably be pretty understanding of Pokemon shenanigans! Especially when there's evidence like the time bubbles around.
What kinds of Pokemon will be around?
Any naturally occuring fossil Pokemon - this excludes just Dracozolt, Arctozolt, Dracovish, and Arctovish, because those four are inaccurate combinations of fossils, so it wouldn't make sense for them to appear. Other fossil Pokemon like Kabuto, Armaldo, and Cranidos are all fair game!
Non-legendary ancient Paradox Pokemon will also be present, in very small numbers! (i.e, Great Tusk, Scream Tail, Brute Bonnet, Flutter Mane, Slither Wing, Sandy Shocks, and Roaring Moon.)
Finally, certain Pokemon with long histories can be found! This is mostly up to player judgement, but some examples are Carbink and Relicanth (described in Pokedex entries as having been around for millions of years). If you think there's a good argument for a specific Pokemon, it should be fine!
What about Prom? It looks like it's overlapping on the calendar...
On the 30th, Celebi will finally clue in to what happened. As an apology, it will warp in the supplies the Indigo League set aside for Prom... and the Indigo League members and Prom staff. As in, the actual people. Surprise, they've all been volunteered for the Prehistoric Prom!
Long-time characters who knew that Prom was coming, and had their own clothes or other paraphernalia ready at home, will also find that warped in. Characters who didn't have anything ready might get lucky and find something appropriate magically showing up. Or maybe not! Maybe they'll have to make a dress out of prehistoric plants! Either way, Celebi will be supervising and make sure there's no additional disasters. (But maybe don't wander too far away from the large clearing that Celebi's chosen - all those Pokemon are still out there.)
However: to fit in with the spirit of Prom being traditionally an event for the young, characters will find that some or all of their Pokemon have been reverted to their pre-evolved forms, and at a low-level! Do you sometimes miss when your giant Charizard was a cute little Charmander? This is for you. Do you not miss when your Mismagius was a naughty little Misdreavous? Well... that's unfortunate.
Since it's spring, and Celebi is associated with leaving behind eggs from the future, there's also going to be an egg hunt going on! More details on that once the Prom log goes up.
At the conclusion of the Prom, all characters will be returned to their proper time for a well-deserved rest! As for your Pokemon - the effect can last for up to another month. (So they can go back to normal immediately after Prom, a month later, or any time in between. It's your choice!)
Will there be logs for both these events?
There'll be a small flavor-setting IC post for prehistoric Johto, and you may play on that post if you'd like, but it won't be a full event log. This event is intended for people to make their own posts with what they're interested in playing! Feel free to make up prehistoric details, come up with and write random stranded NPCs into your threads, and generally do what you'd like with the setting.
Some ideas:
- Setting up shelters and sourcing necessities, like food and water
- Fighting off or getting chased by hungry prehistoric Pokemon
- Getting lost in the jungle, or searching for someone else who got lost
- Trying to tame and ride an Aerodactyl without a Pokeball
- Reinventing the wheel
The Prom will have an event log! Expect it to be posted around April 30th.
Any other questions?
Comment in the top-level below! (And feel free to use the comments of this post for plotting with people!)

Prehistoric Pokemon can even be caught, though characters will be limited to however many Pokeballs they were carrying on hand. And... because this is the distant past, and there are no PC boxes to warp Pokemon to... they'll be added to your team even if you have 6 already, at least until characters get back to the present.
(Basically, we're trusting players to keep it reasonable! One, or even a few new Pokemon, and temporarily bumping your team up to 8 or 9 Pokemon: go for it. 50? Probably too many.)
