The results are in!
The votes are in, the points have been tallied and it's time to reveal the winners of the contest!
In first place, rushing past all the competition faster than speeding bullet
it's Rose Quartz and her Bidoof Doofy!
In second place, swift as the coursing river and with the strength of a great typhoon
it's Shadowmaru and his Yamask... Yamask!
In third place, knocking it out of the park with a home run
it's Steven and his Misdreavus Charley!
And lets not forget our special winner of the night
charming the audience with her funnybone-tickling performance
it's Carly with her Salazzle Misty!
But knowing who won is only half the fun! So let's look at what our performers brought home.
For placing first, Rose Quartz will be taking home a Shiny Feebas as well as a custom tailored outfit from Riegfried and Soy's personal tailors, with a matching outfit for Doofy.
For placing second, Shadowmaru will be taking home a Soothe Bell as well as an all expenses paid Shopping Spree in Goldenrod's fabled department store.
For placing third, Steven will be taking home an assorted Berry Basket (which includes some of those rare new berries brought over from the Galar Region) as well as an all-expenses-paid Spa Day for him and Charley in Blackthorn City's most famous Spa.
For providing us with as many laughs as she did, Carly will be receiving a Leftovers as well as a Special ribbon that turns out to squirt water on those caught unaware.
Of course, while the real joy comes from entering the contest and shining on stage, Riegfried and Soy have also arranged for a little treat for everybody who didn't win anything (and those who won too) in the form of a one of a kind sequinned shirt, proclaiming them to be Contest Superstars!! The shirt is... very glittery. And Bright. And just. A whole lot going on at once.
With that all sorted (and again, congrats to our winners!) we were hoping we could ask you guys for some feedback. We are hoping to do these contests more frequently from now on, but we'd also like to know if the changes to the contest format we have implemented are ones that work for you guys. We explained our reasons for implementing these changes in the previous post (in short, an attempt to balance out the chances of winning for all contestants, while also coming up with a system that can function even with a smaller group of participants) but now that everybody has actually experienced a contest in this new style, we want to know your thoughts. Even if you didn't enter/have no intention of entering in a contest, what you have to say is still valuable.
Are there things that you'd rather see changed, or things that made it difficult to enter? Or are there perhaps things you really enjoyed about this set-up that you would like to see emphasised? Or would you rather return to the contests of old, in which case we would need further feedback on ways to address those issues we mentioned earlier while still keeping to the spirit of the old style contests.
Feel free to let us know your thoughts either through responding to this entry or via this small questionaire. Every answer will be a great help.
