AC-related poll
Hey, PokePals, it's time for us to make a decision and we want your help!
Many months ago, we cut the Activity Check requirements in half, from 14 comments to 7. At the time, we intended it to be a temporary hardship measure. Little did we know that the world (especially the U.S. and Canada, where many of us live) was going to really double down on putting the 'hard' in 'hardship.'
While we'd like to continue accommodating you, our players, we have also come to realise that the way AC is currently structured is a little bit too lax. Only seven comments was fine when we all thought it was going to be for a month or two, three. But we all feel that it doesn't work well for the long-term. We're not the fastest or the busiest game out there by any means, but we still don't want to encourage squatting or the dreaded phenomenon of 'ghost canonmates.'
We poked our heads together and discussed the situation. The main problem, in our eyes, is that a low comment count in addition to a very generous strike system can create a little too much leeway. Especially when we also include the possibility of taking a hiatus on top of that! We came up with two possible ways to move forward, and what we'd like is your input on things, and what you feel would work best for the game.
Option A (the new)
-- A monthly AC of 10 comments
-- AC requires at least one proof (but more can be submitted)
-- A strike requires you to make regular AC two months in a row
-- You cannot take a hiatus directly after taking a strike
Option B (the old)
-- A monthly AC of 14 comments
-- AC requires at least two proofs
-- A strike has no consequences, two strikes in a row requires you to make double AC
So what we'd like to know is which of these options you (the players) would prefer!
Please cast your vote for your preferred option in the poll, and should you have any other thoughts, feel free to mention them in the comments.
