Hi everyone, my name is Phas, coming back to this game after too long away and bringing Shard the Metal Sonic from the original run of Archie Comics' Sonic the Hedgehog.

For those not familiar with nearly ten year old comics, Shard was the original Metal Sonic, a sort of robotic doppelganger to the titular hedgehog meant to match and outperform his physical abilities. After being destroyed and rebuilt three or four times, as one does, he developed a personality and a conscience and joined the heroes for an unfortunately short run before getting purged from existence in a scorched earth reboot for legal reasons.

He's a lonely, snarky boy who'll be coming to Johto as a trainer with a Mimikyu as his partner because he too is a not-quite-off-brand imitation of a beloved mascot character.

I love how I don't even know anything about Sonic comics and I still know to say 'fuck Ken Penders specifically'. But hi!

A lot of good characters were lost in The Pendering, but fortunately most of them were just names slapped onto background echidnas.

These two have been fun on the TDM, should be interesting to see how things actually go in-game.

The Archie comics are definitely a ride, and they were a major part of my childhood for a long time.

They probably would have been part of my childhood if we got them over where I live, haha! I mostly just had the games 8') (and... Sonic Underground... but we don't talk about that).
