Shinobu's first step after getting his assignment was to... go to Steven and ask for advice, since he knows they're at least acquaintances. Then he gave it some more thought and realized that since he didn't know what photography accessories she already had and couldn't really ask her, he'd be better off going with something somewhat less vital than, say, lenses, so he got her a very nice photography bag in various shades of blue with light pastel orange accents, plus a matching glasses case. He would have included a sketch, but worried that that might have been a bit presumptuous.
