As most of you all will undoubtedly know, Pokemon Legends: Arceus was released a bit over two weeks ago. In it, we were introduced to the Hisui region (Sinnoh, but old), a lot of fun new (but technically old) lore and even a bunch of new Pokemon!

But, you might wonder --especially if this is your first new game release while being in VR-- what this will mean for Victory Road and how we will be handling this new stuff. If so, gather around our virtual hearth and open your ears, because we certainly got some Info for you!

Now, first things first, we will of course be adding all the new pokemon released in Pokemon Legends: Arceus to Victory Road. Much like with Pokemon Sword/Shield, we have decided on a staggered release of the new Pokemon. What this means is that rather than add all the new pokemon to VR in one go (as we used to do in the past), we'll instead trickle in the new Pokemon.

We've chosen for this approach because we feel that it is a little less overwhelming and gives each of the new Pokemon a bit of time in the spotlight. Additionally, this way we get to tie in their various releases to little game events like swarms or possibly even new NPCs. Now this does mean you might end up needing to wait a little while for your favourite new Pokemon to be added to the game, but we want to assure you, they are on their way!

Now, this might leave you with a few questions. We hope to address these through a couple of bullet points below, but if there is anything else, don't hesitate to ask!

As you can see from the new EV News post, we are starting off slow by adding Hisuian Decidueye, Hisuian Typhlosion, and Hisuian Samurott to the game. While these pokemon won't be available in the wild, trainers who desire one of these forms can switch their Dartrix, Quilava or Dewott to one of Kurt's new 'Old Balls' and once they hit level 36, they'll evolve into their Hisuian forms!

For now, as there are no TMs in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Hisuian pokemon will not be able to learn any TMs. So remember to teach them all the TMs you want them to know before evolving them!

Once a new pokemon has been added to the game, they will also become available as a starter pokemon for new characters!

As with some of the previous generations, some of the pokemon evolve through methods that would not be available in Victory Road. In these cases (unless it's as easy as adding a new item to our stores), these pokemon will evolve using a Victory Road exclusive method. If you are ever wondering about how to evolve a certain pokemon (whether from Hisui or one of the older generations), we have a page dedicated to explaining all the Victory Road exclusive evolution methods, and where one might find specific items. This page can be found here.

On the previous page, we will also be adding a list of the currently available Hisuian pokemon, so if you are ever wondering whether a certain pokemon is available in the game yet, you'll have somewhere to check.

And just in case anyone is worried, while we will slowly be adding the new pokemon over the coming months, we currently have no plans for planning events around any of the plot/story lines in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. So no fear, story wise, we shan't be serving up any spoilers!

Now that concludes everything we would like to say from our end! But if there any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
