Hello, fellow Cainites! How's about being a vampire for fourth wall? Being with a vampire comes with many perks, such as being able to regenerate wounds, being more physically resilient than the average human, and a number of interesting powers.
Sounds good, but what's the catch?
-Weakness to sunlight: catch a sunrise and it's all over, I dunno if death is real in this game, but do you really want to risk it? -Being set on fire is also an issue, and there is a non-zero chance that you will fly into a blind panic (https://whitewolf.fandom.com/wiki/R%C3%B6tschreck) when exposed to sunlight or large/uncontrolled fires. -The need to drink human blood in order to live, lest you go apeshit (https://whitewolf.fandom.com/wiki/Frenzy_(VTM)) -You *will* look dead unless you rouse the blood to do a mimicry of basic vital signs, which makes you just a little bit hungrier for blood. -Food tastes like ash in your mouth.
In addition to these basic abilities and weaknesses, there are also a number of special powers known as Disciplines. (https://whitewolf.fandom.com/wiki/Discipline_(VTM)) The wiki article is a good place to start, and the following disciplines are not clan-limited, nor would they require a teacher in-universe: Animalism, Auspex, Celerity, Dominate, Fortitude, Obfuscate, Potence, Presence, Protean
Let's also go over the ones Laszlo knows in more detail.
Vicissitude: This is Laszlo's signature ability as a member of clan Tzimisce (https://whitewolf.fandom.com/wiki/Tzimisce), and HO BOY is it a wild ride. Can be used both on yourself and others, either as a quick means of DIY plastic surgery, or creating Cronenbergian body horror monstrosities. Requires direct skin to skin contact to work, and you'll probably need a decent understanding of anatomy to figure out how to shape things in a way that doesn't end in a bloody mess. The limitations to this vary based on the user's imagination, anatomical/medical knowledge, and the recipient's pain threshold.
Auspex: Heighten your senses to inhuman levels, read people's auras, sense other people's senses, and detect supernatural fucky-wuckyness.
Animalism: Sense the primal instincts of people and Pokemon, talk to Pokemon via Pokemon-speak, and force Pokemon into their primal instincts where they just attack everyone.
Dominate: Give random shmucks simple commands (anything that isn't telling them to do something directly harmful to themselves) or make them forget the last 5 minutes.
And then while they do know blood sorcery/koldunic sorcery it's a whole can of worms so I'm. Just not gonna put it up for offer, lmao.
*cronenberg intensifies*
