OK, so basically Keldor got his wake-up call back during Fourth Wall in Paldea over his fears about the future, made sure any home world enemies he'd seen are not here, retreated from society a bit, and is now pursuing therapeutic avenues to finally start dealing with his problems in a healthier way. He's in a better place now that he has.
