A ghastly state of affairs...

Halloween is around every corner in the days leading into the end of October. Litwick illuminate windows at night. Drifloon float not-so-innocently across the sky. Pumpkaboo of all shapes and sizes decorate gardens and toddle around Pokémon Centers. All of this fun, however, isn't without some tricks of its own.

In the days leading up to Halloween Night (Oct. 25-31), Ghost Pokémon are mischievously making hosts out of unsuspecting people, and sometimes... unsuspecting appliances. It's their time of year, so they're having a grand old time getting up to hijinks they normally can't in their ghostly forms. This can include playing pranks, petty theft, some harmless (?) redecorating... The world (and its inhabitants) is their canvas!

Gastly is made entirely of poison gas, so if one takes up residence, it may not be long until you start feeling queasy.

Duskull is only active at night. Does your roommate have a nasty case of sleepwalking? Or is something else at play...?

Rotom has little interest in people, but wouldn't it be a shame if something came to reside in that 3000P berry juicer you bought for a New Year's Resolution?

Mimikyu is known to take up residence in things that are held precious, be it in the image of a beloved Pokémon, or a cherished gift from an old friend.
