For anyone canon blind, here's a nice quote about Rick spoken by his grandson Morty, "When Rick's around, everything real is fake and everything right is wrong. All you know is that you know nothing and he knows everything. He's not a villain, but he shouldn't be your hero. He's more like a demon or a super fucked up god. And if you think my Rick's dead, he's alive, and if you think you're safe, he's coming for you."

His moral compass is questionable at the best of times, but he's the life of the party when he's in a good mood and loves making new friends as much as he hates people in general. He's a bitter, drunk, dirty old man who's going to absolutely love being stuck inside a video game dimension. I can't wait to get this show on the road \o/

I'm glad he's good for something, even if it is a cynical old man who knows Way Too Much about children's video games.

And I couldn't resist considering I saw Annie's thing immediately after I had to question the mods on the faq what would happen to the ledges if someone with Anger Issues decided to try and say "fuck this ledge in particular"

When you come to the sudden understanding that perhaps one of your character's goals will be getting to Route 39 to capture a goat pokemon to finally say "fuck this ledge in particular" to every ledge in particular (I laughed when I later was reading through the comments on the FAQ and saw your questions!)

Anger issues and cynicism: almost like part of home! Trying to run with a character who both is convinced he might be crazy and still his information might be useful was great!

See, getting a goat to go over them would be the easy method of doing things. Rick holds very long, very elaborate grudges. He will try *everything* because getting a goat is letting the ledge win.

I honestly did not expect a ledge to be Rick's mortal enemy in a pokemon game but it defies the laws of physics and nature and him and thus it must be dealt with. Helps he likes hearing himself talk, and is a fountain of both useful and useless information. Annie should count herself lucky he was only slightly drunk when she had to deal with him. Drunk Rick is a stress test on anyone's patience.

To be fair, her version of handling if there's not some outside reason she must is to... walk away, laughs, so there's that!

It's okay when the goat wins. Annie acknowledges the goat winning. She will now proceed with the goat, who won, as a tool. Goat time! I love that a ledge is what tips him over the edge, and he's not even wrong as for why it is how it is.

He's so used to bullshit reality rules that it doesn't even phase him. But just because he understands what's happening doesn't mean he can't try to break the system just because it says he can't do something.

This is why Team Rocket will be safe. Rick will be too busy fighting the ledges to worry about them.

The shit people get away with because Rick's a bitter, spiteful alcoholic who takes out petty shit on inanimate objects. Just because he can save the world doesn't mean he's going to get off his ass and stop what he prioritizes just to help people who wouldn't appreciate his methods in the first place.
