July 2016 Activity Check + Upcoming Event

ACTIVITY CHECK

This Activity Check encompasses activity made during the month of July! Posts and threads started between July 1st through August 8th may be used as long as they were not used for last month's activity. Remember, we have made changes to this month's AC! Things that are different from last time have been marked in bold font.


• Each proof linked must be at least six (6) comments long (meaning 3 from you and 3 from another, or with threadjacking, etc.).

Full requirements should make at minimum twenty-eight (28) comments overall, or at least 14 from your character.
Half requirements should make at minimum fourteen (14) comments overall, at least 7 from your character.

• Proofs must be completed with two different characters. If Character A submits threads with Characters B and C, this is a valid form of AC. If Character A submits two threads with Character B, this is NOT a valid form of AC.

• Players in control of multiple characters are discouraged from making AC by threading several of their characters off of the same opposing character. The maximum number of threads a player may submit for AC with the same character (spread across different characters of their own) is two.

• Action tags count as threads. Conversations in voicemails/inboxes also count as threads as long as they are started during that month of AC.

• Multiple-comment icon spams count as just one comment.

• Half requirements are for those who were on hiatus for up to half of the month and returned more than one week before the Activity Check.

• Posts and threads made during the week of the Activity Check can be used for that month's activity check!

• Those who returned within a week of the activity check are exempt from the month's check. Those who are also currently on hiatus are exempt.

Full Requirements are one post and one thread, or two threads, or two posts.
Half Requirements are one post with at least one reply, or one thread with at least seven comments from your character.


Characters who joined during the second app round of the month only need one post of any length or one thread of any length to verify that they have introduced.

The activity check ends on August 8th, 11:59 pm EST. Anyone who does not check in will be removed from the game on August 9th.

MEANWHILE...

Flyers, radio ads, TV spots, and general NPC buzz across Johto and Kanto have focused on one thing: a festival, held simultaneously in Ecruteak City and Lavender Town, for O-Bon, a Japanese celebration in honor of one's ancestors. From August 13th to August 15th, game and food stalls will line Ecruteak's and Lavender Town's streets, the night sky will be bright with paper lanterns, music and laughter fill the air, yukata will be available for rent, and on the 15th, dancers will perform the traditional bon odori. The festival organizers are also offering to Fly people to and/or from the event for P1000 one-way or P1500 round-trip.

Attendance at the festival is not required, of course. And if your character chooses not to go, they won't be left out of the month's mod-planned event, which will last beyond the festival through August 19th...

**Edit 10:22: Also! We're looking for MORE MODS before the school year starts! In particular, we're looking for one or two people to help with activity check, badge requests, staying on top of reserves, and Rocket plots.

Did you watch the anime, play the games, read the manga? All three? Or did you just start learning about it when you came to Route/VR? Just tell us as much or as little as you did; this isn't much of a deciding factor as it is just necessary knowledge. It's alright if you never knew Pokémon before joining, and it's just as alright if you've got a Squirtle plush hidden in your closet. <b>Have you modded a game before?</b> If so, which game? How long? What were your duties (full moderator, a techie, app team, etc.)? <b>Anything else?</b> Is there anything else you'd like to share?
