Character Project: The Silver Horn

Hey everyone! Otter here.

Over the past couple of months, I've had Kazuki begin to put together a plan for a sort of inn / rehabilitation center for both people and Pokemon to be able to stay at for whatever need they may have. This was mostly inspired by the fact that he's rescued and/or inherited many Pokemon that just needed some tlc to be themselves again, and as his own property has begun to be outgrown by the amount of Pokemon he has, he's realized that he needs to make a change. He doesn't want to put any of them in the PC, so he wanted to find a place where they could all live, have their own lives, and perhaps bring in more over time. Not all residents will be permanent, so the idea of an inn as a transient place appealed to him.

However, most of the skills needed to run a proper inn / rehabilitation center aren't really in his wheelhouse, so he needs to do a lot of research, and is also going to need a lot of help! So I wanted to make a sort of general request post for assistance. If you'd like your character to be involved, it can be either threaded or handwaved! I definitely don't expect every part of the construction and upkeep to happen ICly, that would be insane. But I figured it'd open up a lot of CR opportunities for Kazuki and between other characters that would like to help, so it would be good to make a general info post about it.

Here are some general ways he's going to need help:

• Monetary donations. This is going to cost a lot of P, and while Kazuki has a healthy savings, he's definitely not made of money! This would probably be the easiest way to help if you want to be involved.
• I've already decided that the location is going to be in Azalea Town, but he could still use help finding the perfect building or land to begin work on.
• Construction / rehab. Plain ol' hands on deck. Anyone with DIY skills would be great, but even just willing bodies would be more than helpful.
• Running the inn. Anyone willing to volunteer with general upkeep, cleaning, cooking, would all be appreciated. I don't expect anyone to work full time! Just when they have the time is fine. Also, if he's able to make any actual money on this venture, Kazuki will pay anyone who wants to work a real job.
• Pokemon care. The main draw of the inn will be taking care of Pokemon that need a little help or rehabilitation. Kazuki plans to have expansive wild areas where Pokemon can do their natural thing while they recover. He's also been doing research on homeopathic remedies for both people and Pokemon, so there will be an herb and berry garden that will need tending. Again, volunteering in your character's spare time is fine, and he'll pay anyone that's looking for a real job.
• He doesn't really need help with this part, but he'll also be making a soundproof room in the inn for him to teach music to kids out of. Hey, he's still a musician, right?
• Advice! Even just some ideas or encouraging words are more than welcome.

We probably want to handwave it at this point, but Greg's got experience with building stuff with the gems (Steven's room!) and Faye and I already established that he and Rose were still in Azalea as late as 12/8, even if they're going to Violet later. So let's just say that he's been helping get the place built?

Claude hasn't yet reached Azalea Town, so he can't participate in anything just yet, but after Kazuki was so helpful to him when he first arrived, he'll probably be willing to pitch in here or there for various things!

Likely candidates are monetary donations(not for awhile yet, but once he gets his job in Goldenrod - still, I imagine Kazuki's need for donations will be an ongoing thing), volunteering in the garden, and pokémon care. He can do a little of each at various times, probably handwaved. He'd likely ask for very little money in return, or maybe the occasional herb/berry from the garden for his own pokémon as reimbursement.
