Oh man, first time posting over on the OOC Community. I hope I'm doing this correctly, but who'd like to partner up with Cali for the contest? So, Keith got an interesting fortune from the Snorunts this year. Basically, things he's looking for are getting swapped around with others... things he wants to buy, things he already owns that he was going to grab for whatever reason... even his Pokémon.

His Pokémon, though, are only getting swapped with other otherworlder's Pokémon. But, for his first swap of the month, once they figure out whose is whose and swap them back, both Pokémon have mysteriously learned a new TM move.

SO! What that means is that we can have fun and I can swap with as many people as who want to swap, but one random swapper can have the chance at being the "first one" of this bout of luck. Therefore, if you'd like to have your character's Pokémon have a chance at randomly learning a brand new TM that they didn't know before (and are capable of learning), I will give everyone who signs up by next week a number (unless you indicate that you want to opt out), and then pull one from the RNG to see who ended up getting to be Keith's first swap in order to make this fair. For the sake of my sanity, please keep it to one character per player.

Reply to this post saying if you'd like to sign up, and I will number everyone in the order they commented. Then, next Thursday, I will RNG a "first swap" and let you all know who got it. I'm cool with threading them out on my top level post that will be posted either tonight or tomorrow, or we can handwave the interaction. I'm cool with either!

There will be other swap options, too, if you want a possession of yours to get swapped with one of Keith's or something else like that which isn't a Pokémon.

For TM selection, the mods have requested using this list on random.org to make your selection.

Hey everyone! Otter here.

Over the past couple of months, I've had Kazuki begin to put together a plan for a sort of inn / rehabilitation center for both people and Pokemon to be able to stay at for whatever need they may have. This was mostly inspired by the fact that he's rescued and/or inherited many Pokemon that just needed some tlc to be themselves again, and as his own property has begun to be outgrown by the amount of Pokemon he has, he's realized that he needs to make a change. He doesn't want to put any of them in the PC, so he wanted to find a place where they could all live, have their own lives, and perhaps bring in more over time. Not all residents will be permanent, so the idea of an inn as a transient place appealed to him.

However, most of the skills needed to run a proper inn / rehabilitation center aren't really in his wheelhouse, so he needs to do a lot of research, and is also going to need a lot of help! So I wanted to make a sort of general request post for assistance. If you'd like your character to be involved, it can be either threaded or handwaved! I definitely don't expect every part of the construction and upkeep to happen ICly, that would be insane. But I figured it'd open up a lot of CR opportunities for Kazuki and between other characters that would like to help, so it would be good to make a general info post about it.

It's Valentines Day and that means one thing......cheap candy tomorrow!

John is going to buy up an absurd amount of discount candy, which isn't the weird part. Where it pertains to you guys is...he's sending it out.

On February 15th, if John has ever talked to you, ever, you're DEFINITELY getting candy. Not a lot, like, one Unit of candy, one container or bag or whatever it's sold in. And it just arrives! It's not wrapped, there's not a card or anything. Just a Pidgey with candy in a shipping envelope.

Exceptions to this are Jane, who gets a small variety because family, and the half of the Ghostbusters John hasn't talked to because he's a fanboy.

On top of that, he had five things left he didn't want (or maybe couldn't eat, boy has a peanut allergy) and he asked the mail courier to just randomly send them out. It's just friggin candy and chocolate so this was ok, probably. ANyway, if John HASN'T talked to your character and you still want a random anon candy for your character, sign up here. It's limited because John isn't made of money, sorry!

Basically, Ash needs to have his team trimmed a little bit! And rather than have them all leave or be traded to NPCs, I'm gonna pop their info here in case people want to pick them up! As a heads up, this is not an 'In-character' decision; this is something I, the player, am deciding to do. As such it would be easier for people with CR with Ash to obtain these, unless people/characters want to propose a trade or have these mons decide to join them from a chance meeting or something similar. Renaming them is totally fine, as long as it's in-keeping with the spirit of the original name!

So in a bit Botan will be making an IC post calling for help.

It's nothing majorly serious it's just that...she got left with a load of Pokemon when two certain friends of hers left, way more than the capacity she can handle. She tried to handle it on her own but got to the point where she was keeping them in PCs and she hates doing that, plus she's not a trainer and doesn't travel much with having a business therefore--

It's time to give up these Pokemon for adoption.

Quite a few of these run in the upwards of 70~100 in levels but there's some that are 25~50 and really, depending on the personality of the Pokemon and level of challenge your character wants it won't matter much at all. Tl;dr Botan's not going to do a badge check or something, just pray that whoever is willing to take on the Pokemon up for adoption will take care of them. This is the OOC viewing/claiming post where they'll be linked for you to look over, and you can comment here to say a character is claiming them.

Bonus: some extras that Botan bred in the past, had trainers left, couldn't bear to part with but they're too curious about the world to accept staying in one place.

A big thing I hear said a lot in the OOC circles of this game is 'man, I wish it was easier to just spontaneously set up an IC battle with someone!' A lot of the time we feel like we need to wait for an open post, or a catchall, or awkwardly go 'so hey I know this thread is about ice cream but do you also wanna have a monster fight?' mid-thread.

Well, I had an idea, and it's for what basically amounts to a Battle Inbox. It works like an IC inbox, except instead of communication done remotely over the Pokégear it's for in-person challenges and battle threads! Here is one I set up to give you an idea of what it'd look like, and here is one Mod Wolfy put together that comes complete with a really stellar permissions table!

These would also count for AC the same way IC Inboxes do, so don't worry about that. They're not required obviously but they might be a neat way to encourage more off-the-cuff battles and even more branching-out of CR, since anyone can challenge anyone who's in their area. You might meet your new best friend because they jumped out at you from behind a bush and demanded a fight. You never know!

ANYWAY! I had an idea this morning about arranging an IC SECRET SANTA similar to how

ryslig is doing! Would anybody be interested in that? Botan here could post to the network explaining how it works, people volunteer, she hits up their voicemail with their matches, and it goes from there! I figured this could be a good way to include everyone in the whole present giving Christmas cheer when they might not exactly have people around for the holidays.

And yes, I am posting here rather than on plurk since not everyone is on there. But let me know what you think or how it could be arranged better and so on and if all seems clear, I'll post up Botan's cunning plan IC!

EDIT: Aaaaand! Thanks to Dees/Armin-mun's input, if you like the idea but want to handwave signing up IC, you can add a note here throwing your character's hat in the ring. She would of course explain exactly what SS is and how it works beforehand, so no confusion (hopefully).

Yoooo, hey champs to be! It's ya girl Mozart with a special announcement as laid out in my public plurk here.

Jade will be starting a new Pokemon daycare/breeding center in Goldenrod!

HOWEVER--this is not replacing the one that's in Celadon (we're talking over ideas about how to make the two distinct, one idea is keeping separate stock)! I talked with Mega about it and she is fully intended to get back into the swing of things with the Kanto BC, BUT--(there's always a but at the end)--she needs some extra hands on now with maintaining the listings and stuff. Between RL and other obligations, running it on her own has become incredibly difficult.

So! That's where you guys come in! Hitting her up to volunteer to help, right?

HEY... if anyone's character is in or around Olivine City this month and would be interested in an Alolan Vulpix, this guy is hanging around the pokemon center trying to rehome one. sorry it's so restrictive, but he wouldn't make a network post about it because it's sort of on the down-low that he even has it.
