A big thing I hear said a lot in the OOC circles of this game is 'man, I wish it was easier to just spontaneously set up an IC battle with someone!' A lot of the time we feel like we need to wait for an open post, or a catchall, or awkwardly go 'so hey I know this thread is about ice cream but do you also wanna have a monster fight?' mid-thread.
Well, I had an idea, and it's for what basically amounts to a Battle Inbox. It works like an IC inbox, except instead of communication done remotely over the Pokégear it's for in-person challenges and battle threads! Here is one I set up to give you an idea of what it'd look like, and here is one Mod Wolfy put together that comes complete with a really stellar permissions table!
These would also count for AC the same way IC Inboxes do, so don't worry about that. They're not required obviously but they might be a neat way to encourage more off-the-cuff battles and even more branching-out of CR, since anyone can challenge anyone who's in their area. You might meet your new best friend because they jumped out at you from behind a bush and demanded a fight. You never know!
