FOURTH WALL ANNOUNCEMENT
Yes, it’s that time of year again…time for the semi-annual Fourth Wall Event, which will be taking place beginning Friday the 26th at midnight, lasting until 11:59 PM on Sunday the 28th! The usual rules from previous fourth walls will be carrying over here, and then gist of the event is that STUFF’S GETTING WEIRD AROUND HERE. Nephelis has been imprisoned for ages, and that holiday bonanza wasn’t enough for it to properly stretch its legs! And who doesn’t love a little space-time-universe warping fun now and again? Nephilis sure loves it, so that’s what you’re all getting. Johto and Kanto will both be subject to a lot of unfamiliar new visitors from across multiple different universes as Nephilis brings them to join the celebration, and each will be given a Pokemon! Even better, the normal restrictions on everyone’s bodies or powers will be lifted. Anything goes for the weekend!
BUT THAT’S NOT ALL…
See, normally memories are not only jumbled after the event ends, but any kind of recordings are also wiped out. But this time? Nephilis wants everyone to have an extra reminder of all the fun they've had! At the stroke of midnight, when the usual crack of light and the changeover occurs, everyone will also find themselves holding a basic disposable camera. They can do whatever they like with it: take snapshots of pokemon, friends, toss it out the window, whatever they want! But any photos they take (up to 20) will survive the event. Take it into any Pokemart to have the film developed afterwards, and for an extra 25p, get your pictures rated by the Professor Oak Simulator! You get points! (the points mean nothing, feel free to make them up yourselves). The photos might look a little grainy with that...not so great 90's kodak quality, and somehow even the innocuous ones look a little unsettling? But they'll be a nice (or not so nice) reminder of what happened over the weekend.
A mod-hosted mingle will go up at midnight, which will act as a bit of a catch-all for general fourth wall threads from both new and old characters! However, of course, characters can make network posts as well; these posts are subject to response from even people who aren't members of the comm, so please feel free to hit up whatever, if you're a guest! Have fun!

What's a fourth wall, you ask?
The Fourth Wall event is where people from other games, random characters, even players themselves, just randomly interact with your characters. It's a literal breaking of that invisible "fourth wall" that separates the game-verse from... the rest of the internet.
How do you participate?
In short, a character makes a thread in the comm or in the mod-posted catch-all and others tag it. You could tag other entries if you don't want to make a post. You do not have to use just your character journal to tag; you can use characters from other games, crack accounts, player accounts, and the like, to interact with the character who made the post.!
What kind of characters can participate?
Anything and everything, from AU versions to characters in-game or those from other games, ponies, disembodied heads, zombies, Arceus with a saddle, the players, Hello Kitty, and the list goes on... You can choose whether your character remembers the previous fourth wall or not.
Will my character remember the 4th wall?
Your character will remember some events as an actual event in-game. Just like last time, memories will still be somewhat fractured and mixed up, but they are honest to goodness memories. If you need a number for reference, figure that a character can remember about 80% of what happens during this three-day period.
As well as the three-day time difference. There's still no explanation for that one. The Professors won't even be reachable for a few days; don't even expect them to answer your calls. To make it worse, you may not be where you were last... feel free to remain where you traveled during the incident, or anywhere else...
What about people coming in, can they have a Pokémon too?
Sure thing! You can bring in any Pokémon from any generation and challenge whoever you want for however much you want. Feel free to knock down or burn down anything. Current players are also allowed to have whatever else they want in their party, but your party will return to what you had in-game after the event.
What if I don't want to participate?
The fourth wall is not a required event. However, it does affect the game's setting, so logging would have to be backdated or forward-dated to before or after the fourth wall. Please keep in mind that due to the size of the game, your posts may get lost in the event-related posts. If you choose not to participate, your character may enter a glitch or be asleep during the event.
What if I just arrived and haven't made an in-character introduction post yet?
Feel free to arrive in the middle of the event! Your character will probably just be that much more confused. You may also hold off until after the event if you wish, in order to not become lost in the confusion.
Would my non-human character remain in their form for the event? What about powers?
Up to you! Your character can return to their original form, powers intact, or whatever you like! Have fun.
Can my character catch Pokémon during the event?
Yes, they may. However, they won't be able to keep all of them. Feel free to saddle your character with some odd Pokémon they weren't expecting to have, like that odd Magikarp that happened to swim in their packs. Those not listed on the normal routes may not be kept; but you may have your character keep a Pokémon that is not on their current route of travel.
Does this count for the activity check?
Yes. Yes, it does. :D
As a clarification of the Fourth Wall AC rule — fourth wall threads and posts carried out by characters who are current residents of VR are fair game for AC. Fourth-wallers and AU versions of a character currently in VR (for example, the same character played as from a different canonpoint, etc) do not count towards AC, even when played by the same player.

Elaine's Plans
JANE, as Victory Road knows her, is not going to be leaving Homestuck House. At all. Not even if you try to bribe her, she's not getting involved in the mess outside. HOWEVER, there will be a Jane Crocker out and about for you to meet - the one who survived Airlocked Round 1. That's right, she'll be a CRAU! And she's been through a lot of stuff. No spoilers for Round 2, she'll be taken from just before it starts so she won't know who's part of it or what's going on, but if asked she WILL go into detail about living through a murdergame. If you want to play out some confusion between the Jane your muse knows and this Jane, I'm up for that, but if you'd rather not hear anything about the subject of murder, this is me letting you guys know to steer clear - she's not a happy camper.
ASRIEL is not doing anything super significant, he'll just be his goat self, BUT he will want to take pictures with you if you're his friend or someone important to him, so he can have that piece of him here in VR.
THIDA will revert to being an Inkling again and find herself stranded on Route 40 on a rock. Surrounded by Remoraid. She'll be catching one but if you'd like to come help a squid who literally cannot touch water, the help would be appreciated.
ANTHY will have full use of her vague witchery back, so if anyone would like to see nasty NPCs get passive agrressively messed with a la turning into animals, being chased by animals, etc or YOU would like to have your character subtly messed with in some way, please let me know!

For Anthy, I'm completely game for her messing with Ash a little in a playful sense. He'll actually be delighted that she has magic too, and will show off some of his powers. He doesn't see witches as inherently bad, given he was raised by a fae being, so that oculd be interesting too? Given how she was previously ruled over by stereotypes/roles?
