End of June Announcements and Reminders!
Afternoon, Victorious Roadsters! Asher here would a few announcements and reminders as we start to wrap up our first month.
1. First of all, you spoke, and we listened: The name of VR’s in-game legendary is Nephelis (Etymology: nephélē, Greek origin of nebula, and Felis, the genus for small-to-medium sized cats). Congratulations to player-Ashley for the winning suggestion! Character-Ashley will receive a Shiny egg of the species of player-Ashley's choice; it will arrive without notice in a basket in her room, protected in a galaxy-patterned blanket.
2. We are also announcing the opening of a Discord channel for the game: VictoryRoadRP!This link will expire in 24 hours, but if you don’t get in now and you’d like to, just let me know and I’ll regenerate the link. Edit 6/28/16: THIS LINK IS NOW PERMANENT! We can use this channel for chats, plotting, whatever you’d like just in case (or rather, if and when) Plurk starts acting up again, or if you don’t have a Plurk, or if AIM isn’t your thing. Discord is free and fairly easy to use from what we can tell, and it’s always good to have options so no one feels left out.
3. Badge requests are open! Kick those guys’ butts, my butt-kicking guys.
4. REMINDER: Please turn in your event threads/logs/posts HERE! Not only does this let us know what roads are good for travel for the last few days of the month, but you also get to request that new NPC-run institutions be built as Johto and Kanto repair themselves after the move. Some of you have made pretty awesome requests as well, so check those out and get excited!
Here’s what’s been cleared and turned in so far: Between New Bark and Cherrygrove, the junction between Goldenrod, Ecruteak, and Violet, and between Blackthorn and New Bark.
Here’s what we still need turned in (that is, it may have been cleared but hasn’t been reported to us): Between Cherrygrove and Violet, between Violet and Azalea, between Azalea and Goldenrod, between Ecruteak and Olivine, between Ecruteak and Mahogany, and between Mahogany and Blackthorn. If you have already cleared these, again, PLEASE LET US KNOW! Remember that these proofs of clearance need only reach AC length to count, as long as characters have taken a good stab at doing what’s needed! That is, if you’ve made a post asking for help and you got even one comment back, you have done your civic duty and can turn that thread in.
There will be rewards for everyone whether or not you claim a clear, but make sure you do anyway and maybe note the date so that people can backdate travel if they wish!
5. ONE MORE IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT REMINDER: Please make sure you have responded to the Taken Pages so that we have an accurate list of who’s in game, and you get your comm tags! If you’ve received your tag but it’s not showing up in autocomplete, worry not. Your tag is character name (character canon), and once you’ve used it once, it will pop up automatically next time you start typing it in.
