Asher here with a few announcements:
1. The
voting for our game-specific Legendary Pokémon is live! We got some really great suggestions for you to choose from.
One vote per player, please!
2.
Character tags! They are now a thing! If you don’t have one yet, they’ll look like
character name (character canon). I'll be replying to
your comments on the Taken Pages with your characters' tags, so make sure you've posted to
those! IF YOU DON’T, I DON’T KNOW YOU’RE HERE, BROSEPHS, SO IT’S IMPORTANT YOU DO!
3.
AN EVEN MORE IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: We have changed the
application form to make applications easier AND to allow new types of characters into Route.
We now allow
original characters and
customizable/silent protagonists for whom there is enough content
in canon to give the character a recognizable personality. However, we still do
NOT allow AU versions of characters (unless the AU exists within the canon and the AU character is distinct from the OU version), nor characters who do not have enough material in their canons to have a recognizable personality. That is, apping a Dragon Age protagonist would be fine, since each has their own distinct personality, but apping a Homestuck Guardian or Ancestor would not, nor would an Underswap Sans.
You will be able to make a case for your character's appability in the app itself, but if you want to ask whether or not a particular character is appable before you start, hit us up
below and describe that character's situation as fully as possible for an opinion.
Other changes: We now ask for preferred modes of contact rather than personal journals, the strengths and weaknesses section has been folded into general personality, and you can
now use threads as samples.
NOTE: For this coming app round ONLY, we will accept applications made with either the old form (preserved
here at Route 29) or the new form so that those who started writing their applications before this transition won’t be disadvantaged.
4. So, with all that, of course we've put up
Victory Road's very first Test Drive Meme! In the future, we may implement toplevel prompt ideas to make things easier on future appers. If you have any such prompt ideas now, share them with us
below!
Don't forget to turn in any Shock-Blocked event obstacles that your characters have cleared
